About Us

Phoenix Chautari began in February 2006 to discuss the changing social and political situation in Nepal at the time. The Chautari has since then expanded its themes to include various other issues relevant to the Nepali diaspora in Arizona. The idea of Phoenix Chautari is to create a democratic space where Nepali and the friends of Nepal can engage in civic discussion and remain a part of a vibrant civil society. The Chautari runs in voluntary ethics and is inclusive of different perspectives in discussion series.
